Sometimes when people, especially from the west, visit an Ashram for the first time, they are unsure if it is a cult or wondering what people are actually doing there. They might even ask themselves if people in an Ashram are just blindly following a guru. Especially in the west we are not used to hear about different forms of intelligence or energy in the human system like in other traditions.

One way to get out of our analytical mind is to practice devotion. Devotion is like an emotional state we can create within us. It is like a gateway to access other forms of intelligence and other dimensions of life. We can even become more receptive, something that is crucial on the yogic path.
